Verónica has advised on regulatory matters to both domestic and international clients in various regulated industries, including energy, water, food, aquaculture, among others in the past 10 years. Additionally, she has focused on public, constitutional and administrative law.

Experience
Verónica has been an associate of our firm since 2014 in the Regulatory and Environmental Law group, and a senior associate since 2019 in the same practice area.
In addition to have advised several Chilean and foreign clients in due diligence processes, she has focused her practice in various areas of public law, including administrative, public procurement, heath, environmental, water, energy and constitutional law.
She permanently advises clients in the development of projects in various regulated sectors including non-conventional renewable energies, power transmission, mining, forestry, aquaculture, real estate projects, among others. This includes advising on obtaining sectoral permits and authorizations, environmental impact assessment, sanctioning procedures before various authorities and challenges in public procurement matters.
Verónica has actively advised on various aspects derived from Law 20,920 on the extended producer responsibility (REP Law), including the implementation of waste management systems.
She has also advised on the drafting and negotiation of contracts of various kinds, especially focused on energy related contracts.
She has followed up the last two constitutional processes in Chile and she also is part of the Senior Associates Committee and of the interdisciplinary work team of the ESG and Compliance area.
Veronica participated in the creation of the podcast All You Need is Law in 2022 and continues to collaborate in the creation of content.

- Advising an important multinational company on regulatory and environmental aspects in the development of its data center projects in Chile.
- Advice to several clients in the negotiation and drafting of energy supply contracts, including important manufacturing, retail, forestry and transportation companies.
- Due diligence advice to several international companies in mergers and acquisitions processes in regulated industries, including energy, aquaculture, forestry, hospitality, cabotage, transportation, sanitary, mining, fuels, among others.
- Advises major transnational mining company in environmental and regulatory matters.
