Maximiliano
Barros

Maximiliano has been an associate at Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos since 2022. Previously, he worked as a legal assistant at another firm, where he acquired knowledge on the handling of legal proceedings; and at Marcaria, where he specialized in intellectual and industrial property, particularly in relation to trademarks.

Since joining Cariola Díez Pérez-Cotapos, he has focused on assisting national and international clients in matters related to information technology, advertising and intellectual property. He has participated in the conception of intangible asset projects for various institutions, generating unprecedented inner regulation on the use of artificial intelligence tools and the creation of science and technology-based companies. Likewise, he has participated in the negotiation and closing of important sponsorship agreements, as well as in the negotiation of advertising exhibition and content creation agreements. 

Since 2016, Maximiliano is part of the assistantship of Dr. Fabiola Lathrop’s chair of Civil Law at Universidad de Chile. He also participates in the research group “Person, families and law”, at the same university. He has been a member of the Chilean Association of Intellectual Property (ACHIPI) since 2023.
