Marcelo has focused his practice on antitrust, litigation and arbitration.

Experience

Marcelo has been an associate of our firm since 2023.

He has been dedicated to the resolution of disputes, mainly in civil, commercial and antitrust matters.

He has also represented national and foreign companies and individuals before the Competition Court and the Supreme Court in cases of collusion, abuse of dominant position, consultation procedures, as well as in investigations carried out by the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office in relation to possible anti-competitive conducts.

Additionally, he has represented clients in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations, international arbitrations under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce, as well as litigation before ordinary and special courts.

Advice to

  • Representation of Google LLC and Alphabet before the Competition Court in the first case for alleged abuse of dominant position in the search and digital advertising markets.
  • Representation of different companies before the Competition Court and the Supreme Court in cases for collusion.
  • Advice to clients in investigations carried out by the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office in relation to alleged anti-competitive conducts.
  • Representation of an international holding company in an international arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce related to contractual breaches arising from an M&A process.
  • Representation of an international mining company in an international arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce related to the breach of an exploitation contract.
