Saffie

Andrea joined the Firm in 2008 and has been a partner since 2020. She leads one of the firm’s Corporate and M&A teams, advising both domestic and international clients.

Additionally, she has specialized in Corporate governance and foreign investment matters, dedicating part of her time to advise important Chilean family groups, especially in governance issues. Considering the structure of the Chilean market, in terms of mergers and acquisitions, she has been involved in leading transactions in different sectors and industries, including different types of services, food, pharmaceuticals, real estate, paper and forestry.

Additionally, she acts as a director in several Chilean companies and is also a member of the Chilean Bar Association where she directs the Women Lawyers Commission and leads the firm’s Gender Equality Committee.

• Advised MEDIFARMA in the acquisition of Fresenius Kabi’s shares in the Chilean company Laboratorios Sanderson S.A.
• Advised Campbell Global in the acquisition of a minority part in Bosques León SpA and in the acquisition of forestry assets for more than US$70 million.
• Advised Fonterra in the sale of its shares in Grupo Soprole, a transaction that included a tender offer process.
• Advised Grupo Arauco in the sale of forestry assets to a consortium led by BTG Pactual, in the sale of its stake in the subsidiary Forestal Los Lagos S.A. and in the acquisition of ODD Industries SpA.
• Advising Banmédica S.A. in the acquisition of 100% of the shares of the company HDI Seguros de Vida S.A.
• Advised Grupo ATCO in the acquisition of 50% of the shares of its subsidiary ATCO Sabinco S.A., owned by Ultramar.
• Advising Enel Chile S.A. in the merger of Enel Generación Chile S.A. and Empresa Eléctrica Pehuenche S.A.
• Advised Gemini Investments in its investment in Burn to Give LLC.
• Advised Soprole Inversiones S.A. in the merger by incorporation of Sociedad Procesadora de Leche del Sur S.A.
