Our firm has advised foreign insurance companies in the structuring of contracts and policies to comply with Chilean regulations in connection with life insurance and liability insurance plans, such as annuities and third-party liability insurance. On the other hand, we have also advised foreign and local insurance brokers participating in the structuring of life insurance and retirement plans for our corporate clients in Chile.
We have developed extensive experience in the review and analysis of liability coverage for general liability, property damage, fire, aviation and vessel and cargo liability insurance, including the review and underwriting of the corresponding policies and discussions with officials of the Superintendency of Securities and Insurance.
Likewise, our litigation area has been active in representing clients in insurance liquidation proceedings, as well as in arbitration trials on coverage and extension of indemnities arising from insurance policies.
