Our sister firm, Sargent & Krahn, is the oldest Chilean IP firm in Chile and offers comprehensive IP services. By way of example, we can mention the following: search, filing and prosecution of trademarks and patents; copyright regulation, intellectual property litigation, negotiation and drafting of licensing agreements; regulatory matters associated with pharmaceutical issues, consulting services associated with information technology (IT), database protection, negotiation of software licensing agreements.
We especially value maintaining a close relationship with our clients. For this reason, we assign to each one a lawyer who provides general advice and works together with a lawyer specialized in litigation. In addition, we have excellent technical professionals with expertise in engineering, electronics, chemistry, biology, computing and pharmaceuticals.
Sargent & Krahn has developed an extensive international network of correspondents who assist with the registration and litigation of local clients’ trademarks and patents abroad.
Our ability to develop products and services in-house sets us apart from the competition and facilitates contact with our clients. In 1991, we developed WEEKMARK, today a platform that our clients can access free of charge to check the status of their trademarks, as well as perform narrow searches of third-party trademarks. In 2013 we relaunched this platform adjusting it to current requirements and incorporating other applications.
