Experience

José is a senior associate of our firm. From 2014 to 2020 he worked in the areas of Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution and Criminal Liability, representing both national and international clients before courts and arbitral tribunals in various matters such as civil liability, public law, administrative sanctions, liquidations and reorganizations, family disputes and defense of intellectual property in civil and criminal proceedings. He also advises on inheritance matters.

Since 2020 to date José has been working in the areas of antitrust and corporate law. In antitrust matters José advises national and international clients, especially in investigations before the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office and before the Antitrust Court in cases of collusion, unilateral practices and non-contentious proceedings. Regarding corporate law, he advises clients on corporate and contractual matters and mergers and acquisitions.

Finally, José acts as an actuary in institutional and ad-hoc arbitrations, is a Probono arbitrator and is registered as an arbitrator with the Court of Appeals of Santiago.

Relevant transactions:
–   Representation of Summer Tompkins in a dispute over the estate of Douglas Topmkins.
–   Represented Fonterra in the sale of Soprole to Gloria Group;
–   Representation of Campbell Global in the purchase of forestry assets for more than USD 70 million;
–   Representation of Prize in negotiation with SPAC for opening on NASDAQ;
–   Representation of a client in a collusion lawsuit.
