Pedro
Varela

Pedro has been an associate of our firm since 2024.

Previously, he worked as a researcher for the Legislative Program of Libertad y Desarrollo (L y D), advising on the 2021-2022 and 2023 constitutional processes, and providing legislative advice to the National Congress on environmental, tax and fiscal matters.

He is part of the Regulatory Law team, advising domestic and foreign clients on environmental and natural resources issues.

He permanently advises clients from different economic sectors on regulatory and environmental matters. He has also participated in due diligence processes for the sale and purchase of assets in different areas.

• Advising national and international clients on applications and procedures before the General Directorate of Water (DGA) and the Superintendence of Electricity and Fuels (SEC).
• Advising multinational client on compliance with environmental, energy efficiency and waste management regulations.
• Advising a foreign client on the purchase of a pharmaceutical company for veterinary use.
• Advising national client on tendering and administrative contracting.
• Advice to international client on compliance with waste treatment standards.
