Experience

Andrés is an associate of our firm. Since 2018 he has been part of the Corporate and Antitrust area of our firm, initially as a solicitor, and since 2021 to date as an associate, representing both domestic and international clients in different matters.

In antitrust matters, Andrés has advised local and international clients, especially in merger control investigations before the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office, as well as trials before the Antitrust Court.

Regarding corporate law, he advises clients on corporate and contractual matters and mergers and acquisitions, from perspectives such as negotiation, due diligence, and antitrust.

He is in charge of writing and reviewing articles for the competition area of Practical Law of Thomson Reuters, where Cariola is the law firm in charge of providing case law updates in Chile, published in monthly multi-jurisdictional e-mails.

  • Representation of Cognita in the acquisition of educational establishments in Chile.
  • Represented Fonterra in the sale of Soprole to the Gloria group.
  • Representation of Pontificia Universidad Católica in the restructuring agreement of the Health Network with Christus.
  • Representation of a client in a collusion lawsuit.
  • Represented Digital Bridge in the purchase of a portfolio of assets in Chile from AMP.
  • Representation of fruit exporter Río King in the sale of productive estates of more than 380 hectares to a Nuveen company (TIAA).
